ATS-friendly resume templates

Every template here passed a documented extraction test: a real parser read the name, contact details, headings, dates and bullets out of its exported PDF.

Most "ATS-friendly" badges are self-awarded. This one is a test result: each template's finished sample was exported as a PDF, reopened, and run through an independent text extractor, the same operation an applicant tracking system performs on your application. The results are documented template by template.

They pass on structure rather than plainness: real text instead of outlined shapes, standard section headings, machine-readable dates, contact details in the body of the page. Get that right and the design on top is yours to choose. What an ATS does with it is more ordinary than the marketing suggests.

Common questions

Are these templates guaranteed to pass every ATS?

No, and be wary of anyone who guarantees it. The tests show a real parser, the same class of software an ATS runs, reading the file cleanly. That is evidence, not a certificate: nobody tests against every system in existence.

Is a designed template automatically ATS-unfriendly?

No. Parsing fails on structure (text drawn as images, load-bearing tables, sections split across columns), not on looking good. A designed template that keeps real text and standard headings parses fine, which is what these are.

How do I check my own finished resume?

Run the file through the ATS checker: it parses your actual resume in your browser and shows you the extracted profile. Nothing is uploaded, and your first evaluation is free.
