- Quantify your teaching: classes per week, average class size, student retention rate, and number of regular students.

- Include any group class growth or student referral numbers to show reputation and business development.
Common questions
Do I need both mat and reformer certifications?
No, but it's valuable. Mat pilates certification is foundational. Many studios prefer instructors who can teach both formats or hybrid classes. If you have one, note plans to pursue the other if applicable.
How important is a specialized pilates niche like pre-natal?
Very valuable. Specialized niches like pre-natal, therapeutic, or senior pilates attract premium clients and allow premium pricing. If you have expertise in a niche, lead with it. Studios hire specialists for specific student populations.
